Teachers’ Professional Identity Construction: A review of the literature

چکیده

The construction of teachers’ professional identity (TPI) is a key issue in current research, so wide range scholars has focused their interest on that topic. Its and evolution are influenced by factors (personal, contextual) along the initial training period. This review aims to know how TPI within among Secondary Education teachers evolves, teacher programs approach it which elements may influence its development. Therefore, meta-analysis was used examine existing literature between 1990 2019. A total 35 research studies were analysed showing an increase temporal tend coinciding definition main term need train as well determining construction, they develop commitment with future career. To conclude, this work makes useful updated contribution field brings insights regarding where investigation should go further order meet educational needs societal demands.
